Each month we provide an opportunity for members of the LA Rope Dojo to meet, socialize and get to know one another better. It is also the event at which we unveil new art pieces, exhibits, and have short introductions of the various featured work in our art gallery.
The dojo hosts four permanent exhibits and every two months hosts a temporary exhibit of featured artists. This month we feature the drawing of Yoji Muku, one of the greatest kinbaku illustrators.
Founded in 2011, the LA Rope Dojo is dedicated to providing safe and traditional training in the Japanese art of kinbaku. We offer regular classes, workshops, intensives, and events to help build the LA rope and kinbaku community. We have brought Grandmaster Yukimura Haruki and rope master Akira Naka to Los Angeles to offer seminars and workshops.
