In this class\, we will walk through the basics of how to construct a rope scene from before the ropes go on to after they come off. \nOne of the most powerful aspects of kinbaku is the ability to create layers of intensity\, allowing the bottom to build up a natural flow of endorphins and adrenaline\, allowing the scene to reach deeper levels. We will discuss the process of building your scene\, bringing the various elements together\, and the psychology of a rope scene\, including connection\, communication\, distance\, and pacing. \nThe class is divided between lecture/discussion (first half) and exercises for building rope scenes for the second half. \nA great rope scene is more than the sum of its parts. Join us for a discussion of some of the tips and techniques that can help you think about connecting with your partner in new ways. \nThis class is suitable for all levels\, from beginner to advanced.  Knowing at least one basic tie will be helpful\, but is not required. \nCost: $25 per person\, in advance. DESCRIPTION:PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIRED \nKata Ashi Zuri\, or the single leg partial suspension\, is a tie that has many and varied functions. From shame to torment\, this tie and the various positions associated with it can create complex sensations and emotions and is one of the most versatile ties among the partial suspensions. Because it is a partial suspension\, it maintains a safety factor greater than most full suspensions (thought it does have risks associated with it). \nThe kata ashi or single leg partial suspension is one of the most beautiful kinbaku ties. In Yukimura ryuu\, it forms a core element of a progression that moves from sitting to kneeling to standing and provides a very beautiful and graceful series of transitions between poses. Unlike many versions of this tie\, the Yukimura version focuses on more complex positioning and body movements to create a strong psychological effect. \nWe will work on each of these poses as well as the transitions between them utilizing Yukimura ryuu two rope gotes. DESCRIPTION:The Yukimura Ryu Study Group meets once a month (fourth Tuesday of the month) to the explore the philosophy\, technique\, and practice of erotic rope bondage in the style of Yukimura Haruki. \nFor more information about what that entails\, please read What Is Yukimura Style Shibari? \nThe class is structured in two parts:  The first hour is a discussion\, viewing and demonstration of an aspect of Yukimura style shibari\, with a brief Q&A session.  We will focus on unique aspects of Yukimura Ryuu\, with a particular emphasis on communication and eroticism. \nThe second hour is “hands on” and will provide time for students in the group to practice Yukimura style rope bondage\, explore topics from the earlier discussion\, and engage in “rope games” of their own. \nStudents of all levels are welcome (beginner to advance).  The discussion of Yukimura’s style will be on going and will allow students at any level to join at any time.  Classes will not repeat and there is no standard “curriculum” that will be followed. \nNo is experience required\, though having taken any of the beginner level classes will make for a richer experience. \nYou can read more about LA Rope’s Rope Philosophy and the course instructor\, Zetsu.

DESCRIPTION:Following CDC guidelines\, all attendees will be required to show proof being at least 2 week past their final vaccination date. \nRope Play or Nawa Asobi is held each Tuesday of the month from 8 to 10 at the LA Rope Dojo. This class is our introductory class which covers background and history\, rope information\, and two basic ties. \nThis class focuses on the fundamentals and is perfect for the beginner. \nBeginners always welcome. We have rope to loan for class as well as for purchase. It is recommended you come with a partner. Individuals are welcome but we can not guarantee a tying partner will be available. \nCost: $25 per person\, in advance. No tickets at the door. If you are buying as a couple\, please order together as this event always sells out and we cannot admit over our capacity once class is full. \nTickets are for this event only and cannot be refunded once purchased.\n\nProof of vaccination is required.
