Rope Play or Nawa Asobi is held the first Tuesday of the month from 8 to 10 at the LA Rope Dojo. The class begins with instruction of a basic pattern, followed by hands on tying. This class focuses on the fundamentals and is perfect for the beginner. Beginners always welcome. We have rope to loan for class as well as for purchase. It is recommended you come with a partner. LA Rope teaches shibari (Japanese erotic rope bondage) in the style of the late Grandmaster Yukimura Haruki. Our dojo and instructor is licensed to teach Yukimura Ryuu, one of only roughly a dozen students to hold an official teaching license (menkyo). Our classes focus on communication and connection between partners and we welcome all levels of experience, particular those with little or no experience with rope.
